As a founding member of the Potters Association in South Africa, Valja Roseman has been inspired by natural forms & textures. She has sold her Stoneware pieces to a multitude of studios & interior designers internationally. As well as at markets for creatives. Many of her pieces are one of a kind and are sort after, Iconic works.
Valja started with ceramics while in Canada in 1965. On returning to South Africa in 1970 she set up a new studio & ordered a new kiln. She also began to mix her own glazes, evident in her art.
In collaboration with Hym Rabinowitz & Sonja Gereilngs, they started the first organized Ceramic Association in South Africa. It serves to promote the art while supporting the artists to expand their visibility. They are aligned with the International Academy for Ceramics
